I love all of Andrew Loomis's instructional books. I was so excited about this previously unpublished work of Loomis. This book, however is a unfinished manuscript. The drawings are rough and the instruction level, is aimed at the beginner only. Some of the miscellaneous unpublished drawings are ok, but not enough of them. Better to buy the reprints of his more well known books.

Not really a finished book.

The books by Andrew Loomis are always an asset for those who draw. This new one, lost for so many years, it's worth the value. His sketches of women are unsurpassed!

Great book.

Buy any of the other Loomis books, this is unfinished and derivative.

I'm really dissapointed with this book, It's a unfinished book by Andrew Loomis nothing compared to the previous books. I don't recomend it, I feel like It was a waste of time and money.

All of Loomis books on drawing are great books, and probably the best to have on your shelf, if you had to pick.

This recipe book is divided into four main categories like Hot process, cold process, melt and pour and then the 4th one is a mix of glycerin, goat milk, and liquid soaps. For me, the best part of this book is the medicated sections of each process/methods. They are a wealth of information on how to make various healing and soothing medicated soaps for things like acne and such. Good recipe book, Five starts all the way.

This book was hardly worth the paper it was printed on. I ordered it expecting in-depth information on the soap making process as well as reliable recipes for making homemade soap. Unfortunately, this contents were nothing beyond surface level and absolutely nothing that could not be found on soap blogs and YouTube tutorials. Worse, the tried and true recipe the author provided gird against one of the most fundamental rules of soap making, which is to measure ingredients by weight. I ended up returning this book because it was a real disappointment.

I am glad to find this book about organic and natural soap making. I had always thought it was hard to make soap, but it is far more simple! I've always loved soaps that include essential oils, and you learn how to make those here too. If you've been curious about creating a soap making business, the author offers a lot of helpful tips. You can learn how to make money from something you love to do - making homemade soap!

If you want a place to start, this may be it. It’s an overview of a lot of aspects, but no detailed information. The layout and editing are rather poor. The many typos make it difficult to understand at times. It does not offer very many recipes and gives no information on developing your own recipes.

She spends a lot of time on color and the book is black and white. This book is terrible!

A good book that provides a soild base recipe for soap and the different types of it. It also goes into what it would like to start a buisnness in soap making.

I started using essential oils in a diffuser when I sleep and that's helped me wake up more rested. I figured why not go all the say and learn to make some soap as well. Easy to follow and create.

I felt after reading Mr. Johnson's Montana and Arizona guides I could almost hunt blindfolded, heck I think his Montana book was what brought me here for the last 19 years. North Dakota was not as helpful and by no fault of his there is so much recent change that restaurant and accommodations are already quite dated. It felt more like a quick scan of the state and not the depth I came to rely on.

Dated information, but if you are looking for a solid primer on general information and the broad strokes you need to plan a hunt this is great.

This is a book that provides a decent amount of information, presented in a very general way, regarding the hunting in North Dakota. It is a helpful book in many respects. I had a prior edition, and bought this one in hopes that there would be updates, more specifics, etc., and found it to be 99.9% of the last edition including pictures.
