I have been using this log for 4 years and its still the best running log / diary I have ever come across - very detailed. Perfect for beginners and advanced male and female runners. This diary covers it all from how to use the log, sample entries, training guidelines for all levels, reference charts, racing, tracking gear, fuel, favorite courses, injury tracking, speed & distance work outs, course comments, weekly summaries, personal weight tracking, resting & training HR tracking, cross training tracking, weekly & annual goals, and how to chart your runs. There is much more and I purchase two or three a year just to keep my unused inventory high incase product ever gets discontinued. You determine the days/dates and start of training weeks as dates/days are not printed but log keeps you very organized and helps you recognize / trend your progress and or patterns. Try one, you will buy another.I would highly reccommend Bob Glover's "The Runners Handbook" and "The Competitive Runners Handbook" even if you are a beginner. His books are all simple reads filled with great running information. Just wished Bob still authored more books.

A few years ago, I got into running big time (for reasons other than because Phys Ed class made me). So, once I developed a consistency with running, I wanted to track my progress. "The Runner's Training Diary" was the perfect option for me. It has pages in the beginning where you can list your long term goals and track your per day mileage throughout the year. Then, there is the rest of the manual where you track your daily running experience. You can record pace, distance, year-to-date distance, heart rate, type of shoes worn.... and that's just the small boxes on the sides. In the center of each entry is a big box where you can record all the details you want about the run, including weather, terrain, and how you felt. This is very user friendly journal. So, you're not likely to use it for a couple of weeks and then just forget about it because it's too ponderous. I highly recommend it.

I'm an adult onset runner (48 yrs old, 200 lbs) and started running in Sept 07. I had read Glover's "The Runner's Handbook" which is fantastic! After my 3rd month (when I got to running 3 miles 3-4 times a week) I decided to start a log. I had looked at a few others (Runner's World, Training for Mortals, etc.) and liked the setup of Glover's logbook the best.It doesn't have set dates, so you can start using it in the middle of the year. Lots of great charts in the back. The log entries let you put in quite a lot of info as well as weekly summaries.Well worth the money and a great motivator as you see your miles accumulate. I'm aiming for my first marathon in Apr 08!Highly recommended

I started using the diary when the Jerome's "The Complete Runner's Day-by-Day...Calendar" became unusable due to tiny log entry space.I love this one for all the room I do have to record workout details, but I really REALLY dislike having to go through and date every page and every day myself. So I am of the belief of not complaining without offering a solution so here it is:Have at least a limited run of diaries that do have the current calendar year dates. I'd certainly be willing to shell out another $3 - $5 dollars not to have to spend time doing it myself. Even better send me a notification every year to pre-order the dated version and I'll do it!It's a win-win baby!

This has. been a great book to record activities into. Well put together to record events, times, weather and other points to keep track of. This my third year useing this book.

Best runner's log on the shelf. Been using this log for many years and thousands of training miles. It's interesting looking at changes in training results, evolution of goals and conditioning.

Best running journal there is in my opinion, have used it for years. Lots of useful information included in journal- pacing charts. Only thing is that the section on the Boston marathon hasn't been updated with the new qualifying standards, and the cover photo could be updated as well.

I use this for daily exercise, weight and blood glucose results.
