This book provides super-helpful recommendations for many of the difficult health issues I faced over many years. For example, I took antacids for several years due to frequent heartburn. I had read that the antacids could eventually cause major problems with the esophagus. Mr. Bowden suggests ways to eliminate this issue by taking Betaine HCL (a common supplement), or other enzymes to eliminate the hearburn.It worked for me.The most helpful of all though were his suggestions for aging issues. My short-term and long-term memory are now far better than they were ten years ago. I attribute that to Bowden's advice to take acetyl-lcarnitine, apha-lipoic acid, alpha-GPC, PS, magnesium, Hup-A, pomegranate, rhodalia and some others on a daily basis.My mother started fighting Alzheiners at around 70 and it eventually caused her to lose all the quality of her life. Several of her siblings also passed on with this terrible disease.Now, at age 76, I'm able to work almost full-time and to deal with complex business and tax planning issues for a wide variety of clients.Thank you Jonny Bowden!

This is a fantastic book. I have been practicing nutritional therapy for 20 years and this book is a fountain of the best information for addressing health issues. I showed it to my ND (she knew about it ) to get her approval to use the PMS cocktail for my daughter. With her approval my daughter ( and 2 of my nieces) has been using the cocktail with great results for several months. All of Dr Bowden's books are great! They are in my library and I use them on a weekly basis. Worth every penny!

This is current, up to date and excellent. Not a dusty collection of "folk" remedies but modern, simple and available products that can help in a number of ways. I am already using a a couple of the recommended remedies and am pleased with the result. A friend has already borrowed this book (overnighter!) and is impressed, likely to purchase one also. This is the standard Little House on the Prairie book with the only difference being that the book is a hard back with dust cover and all of the illustrations by Garth Williams are in full color.You can certainly find the paperback version with the black and white illustrations more cheaply, but I wanted this particular version to read to my girls because I noted when I first started this series with them, the old fashioned language and concepts were hard to follow and they lost interests. The colored pictures seems to make the story more interesting for them, and they are more engaged. Not sure if this is really due to the pictures or completely random, but the book is beautifully done, and from a personal perspective, I really like it - I loved the series as a child, but had never seen the pictures in color - added a nice touch for me as the parent reading the book each night.

Bought this for long car rides -- so much better than a DVD! My 5, 12 and 17 year old all love it. The reader does a great job. She has a very clear voice and you really get into the story. She's not monotonous but also isn't overly theatrical. We have all really gotten engrossed in this story (which I didn't expect). I enjoy this greatly and enjoy that my kids are into it. My middle son has read the story, so it's great for him to hear it as well :)

All in all a book perfectly formatted for Kindle.What Reads Want to Know:A classic story from Laura Ingalls Wilder about the early life of her husband Almanzo Wilder living near Malone New York. The story centers around Almanzo and his brother Royal and his sisters Eliza Jane and Alice. (Laura his eldest sibling was 22 and living elsewhere and his youngest sibling Pearly Day was not yet born). Almanzo's love of horses is a center theme of the book which takes you through the seasons in a farmer boy's year. What amazes me is the lack of waste back then. Nothing was wasted. Oat straws were used to make summer hats, apple cores were saved to make vinegar, ashes were saved to make lye soap, and the fat from the pig slaughter is used to make tallow for candles and other uses.Unlike the Ingalls family, Almanzo's were for their part quite well off. They had large barns, a nice house with a parlor, upstairs bedrooms, and an icehouse. The farm sat on a large track of fertile farmland. Father bred driving horses as well as farming and Mother wove cloth for the clothing they wore. If you read just one chapter.... read "Keeping House". Such a funny story unto itself it will make you want to read the whole story. In conclusion, a delightful book from my childhood that can now be shared via Kindle.

Although I should most probably relate to Laura being female and also raised on the prairie, I truly relate to Almanzo more. From age six forward, all I wanted was horse of my own, and later one I could gentle and train myself. And eventually the dreams became reality. Now I have seen my youth and prime adult years come and go, and as i reread this beloved book in front of the fire as the snow fell outside of the farmhouse I now own, I am transported back to the first time I read the book, when Almanzo and I shared a dream and am reminded dreams really do come true. Please share this series with any child you love so they can know it too.

I borrowed these from my Grandma as a teenager and read them and fell in love. I soon got my own set of books but it gives me great pleasure to have them on my kindle and give my beloved books a rest. I love these books and they are timeless classics. I love the color illustrated pictures on the kindle it gives the story even more life. Farmer Boy is my favorite of the books.

Loved it. Fun and interesting. Seemed a bit short to me, but still enjoyable. Ages 10- and up. I do suggest, but you should read the first one first.Don't listen to the people who say it's boring because it's definitely not. It just for older kids. Please don't make reviews saying "my 5 year old got bored" of course they would they're 5 at least wait till they can read on their own.Kids 10+ it's great. Girls may like it more.

These books were read over and over to me as a child and remain some of my favorite as a parent. I purchased this one for my own kids and they love the pictures throughout the book. The story itself is so well-written and so easy to fall in love with at any age. At 3 & 5 years old my kids love to sit and listen to a chapter or two, in a few years I'm sure they'll enjoy reading them on their own!

I've always loved this book, ever since I was a kid. I re-read it from time to time just to bring back the old days. It really brings to life the way people lived early in our countries history. The amount of work people did then just to have the basics of life never ceases to amaze me.

The author starts from Panama and its ok but people who want to live abroad are spread all over age brackets and situations. In USA most people are singleand these singles are men and men are quite specific when it comes down to moving out of US, in short, we looking for companionships with women.This book completely ignores single men and playing field. Luckily internet has information. Panama also is expensive.

This book is very well written and organized - much, much better than others.It is really the only book you need, although some of the others written by expats do give some extra inside information - but very dated.The book covers all aspects of living in Panama, from the point of view of an outsider moving there. To get more detail on specific topics, you can go online and usually the information is available.I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to get a balanced view of moving to Panama.

This book is an excellent overview for someone contemplating a move to Panama. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is 5 years old. I wish she would do an update.

Enjoyed the in depth reporting. Wish it were more current but times change and it was accurate when written. With the exception of housing costs and trends, his is a must have for anyone considering a move to Panama.

This book has a lot of answers to the questions you need to ask if you're planning to live abroad. Very practical and based in reality, not a marketing type approach.

Ohhh, whooopie ... another book pumping out the same crap as the Divorce Corp movie. Yeah, we get it, it's screwed up. But I get pissed over this crap because it's nothing but a well-documented whinefest with never any realistic suggestions on how to make it better while still protecting the people it needs to (aside from the already-implemented and still growing movements toward mediation, ADR, etc).As someone who went through the system 25 years ago, went to law school as a result, and has spent 20+ years working in the system and fighting to make it better, these victim-fests without any realistic suggestions toward improving it are a waste of time.

I find this book disappointing.The bottom of the front cover says now featuring cars from Cars 3. I took that to mean there would be cars from Cars 3 in addition to the cars and Cars 1 and Cars 2. Well there are pretty much no cars from Cars 2.And I expected this to kind of be like a yearbook, featuring all the cars with their names and maybe a little something about them. I mainly bought this so my son could find the cars he owns and find out all their names. Maybe take it with him when he saw Cars 3 to see the new cars in his book. But it's not like that. It includes a ton of cars you've never seen, and doesn't include some main characters. I mean, 2 whole pages devoted to Jackson Storm's car carrier truck? Who is shown for about 2 seconds in Cars 3. But no mention of the main characters from Cars 2.I don't know, maybe I'm being picky and other people don't care about that. This just isn't what I was expecting or wanting.

Super cute book but is missing the entire cast of Cars 2 - Finn McMissle, Holly Shiftwell, etc. Not sure why they created such a detailed book for the other characters but left out an entire movie.

While it's a great book to learn about each car, don't used it as an authority to identify the flag of England.

Disappointed in the book. My son already has a "Meet the Cars" book (same publisher) that included the vehicles from Cars 1 & 2. This book portrays as being a book of the vehicles from the new Cars 3 movie, but to my disappointment (as well as my son) is only a updated version of the previous book, just adding a few pages (maybe 15-20) of "some" of the vehicles from the new movie. It's hard to so see when your little one looks up at you and states that the book is just like his old one. Bummer...

My son is very into cars of all kinds, and he’s too young to sit through a full “Cars” movie; however, he loves looking all the different types of cars in this book. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the book and the fact that it’s a hard cover which is nice since it the ends don’t pop up when he’s looking at the pictures like with a paperback or even lighter board book.

I expected this to be a full complete book including characters from Cars 1, 2 and the latest Cars 3. However, it oddly does not include all the characters from Cars 2. Specifically the racing cars like Shu Todoroki (which is one of my son's favorite characters). It's not a complete character book. It does talk about a lot of Cars 1 & Cars 3 characters including the extras...but none from Cars 2.

My son is going to spend hours looking through this book at all of his favorite Cars characters! Very well made, glossy thick pages and contains every car, that I can tell. Will update once he opens it at Christmas if we notice any disappointments.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old son who's favorite movies are Cars 1,2&3. He LOVES this book and practically has all the car names memorized. That being said, there is a slight lack of Cars 2 characters, so if that's your kids favorite movie you may want to look for one of the other cars character books out there. My son just happens to love Cruz and Jackson Storm from Cars 3 especially, so it was perfect for us. It does has all the original characters as well. The cover is very metallic/shiny looking and it's just an aesthetically pleasing book in general.

There is a single disk version of this product that gets pretty bad reviews however I have Living Language Spanish the complete course, it is very good and I recently changed jobs and now have a 50 minute commute each way every day so this looked like a good product to use to learn on the move. Boy was I wrong. Their PC course is well paced and very logical. This is a horrendous mess and beyond dire. If I could give it less than 1 star I would.They clearly didn't ask anyone who is not a native Spanish speaker with poor to non existent skills to try it out whilst driving. The first disk starts out well and the pace is quick but about the first half of disk one is usable and I thought pretty good. After that it has native Spanish speakers saying things so fast you don't even have time to think about an answer before they say it and even after listening for a whole week I was pretty disappointed and frustrated. Don't get me started on disk 2 which has no correlation to disk 1 and starts of with about 30 statements of different grammar rules, none of which have been introduced, you have never heard the words used before, none of the new words are explained and you just listen to a fast paced lecture on Spanish grammar that you couldn't follow even if you had it on a projector screen. After that it launches into a diatribe of Spanish at a pace you would have to be a native speaker to follow. DISK 2 was UTTERLY UNUSABLE and I gave up even listening to it after 2 days. I am very disappointed. I am going to cut and paste a lot of audio from my other courses onto a personal made up MP3 and play that in the car, maybe I will learn something. PLEASE don't waste your money on this, you will learn nothing if you use it whilst driving.

 This program consists of 17 lessons which are contained on 4 disks. Although you can complete this entire audio program while you’re driving or doing some other activity, the program still includes a bookletThe booklet includes the word and conversations that you will find in the 17 lessons. The narrator in this course gives some practical advice in this program. For example, she advises that you should not attempt to read the booklet while driving :-)I enjoyed the first disk very much because it starts out by teaching the student not only Spanish words, but also how to form your own sentences. You learn how to say really basic phrases in Spanish such as “I see” and then you learn how to build upon that basic phrase and put together your own phrases such as:I see a highwayI see a busI see a houseI see a big houseI see a buildingI see a big buildingI see a signThere are also plenty of verbal exercises on the first disk to keep the student interested in practicing the lessons.Although I really liked the method used on the first disk, there were several things that can be improved on the remaining disks.One thing I noticed is that this program teaches a lot of Spanish words that are more common in Spain as opposed to Latin America. This program teaches that the Spanish word for car is “coche” instead of the Spanish word “carro” which is more commonly used in Latin America. There should be a greater focus on Latin American vocabulary since the typical person using this program is much more likely to meet someone from Latin America than Spain.Another disadvantage of the program is that the Spanish speakers speak rather fast. This may be good for an intermediate-level student. But the name of the program has “beginner-level” in the title. I think that a complete beginner is going to have trouble understanding the fast speakers in this program. A beginner is also going to have a difficult time learning proper pronunciation without hearing the words spoken slowly.This program could also be improved by covering less material. I felt that there is a lot of listening and repeating Spanish words and phrases where there should be more interactive exercises and questions used to reinforce the material I already learned before introducing more material.Do I recommend that you buy this program? Yes, considering the price and the substantial amount of Spanish vocabulary taught in this program I definitely recommend it. However, the program can and should be improved.In closing, I’ll leave you with the 3 learning-Spanish resources which are currently my favorites. (My list of favorites changes from time to time):1. Learn Beginner Spanish: Lessons 1 to 5 from Both Original Version & New Version of Learning Spanish Like Crazy, Including Two Bonus Lessons from New Millennium Spanish. What stands out most about this program is the style of teaching used. The teaching style is very reciprocal or mutually dependent on the instructor and the student. This allows the student to not only listen but also to participate. But what appeals to me the most is that there are two bonus audio lessons included from their New Millennium Beginner Spanish program which teaches Spanish vocabulary for social media, the Web and modern technology - and a lot of other topics that older Spanish programs don’t cover. Such as, eating organic food, living abroad and working as a digital nomad, and working out at a cross-fit or MMA gym. Learn Beginner Spanish also works wonders for developing an authentic sounding accent.2. 501 Spanish Verbs (501 Verb Series). If you think you can accomplish fluency in Spanish as an adult without mastering conjugating Spanish verbs, you are only fooling yourself. This book is an absolute essential resource for learning how to conjugate Spanish verbs. It will show you how to conjugate every Spanish verb tense imaginable.3. Learn Basic Spanish With Fast Lane Spanish : Get In The Learning Spanish Fast Lane. This is from the same publisher that created Learn Beginner Spanish. What I love about this audio program besides the fact that they use the same teaching style found in Learn Beginner Spanish which includes native Spanish-speaking actors to help you get an authentic accent, this program does a great job of teaching Spanish pronouns and prepositions in a natural way. Most programs seem to skip over this topic and only focus on conjugating Spanish verbs. I am also impressed with Learn Basic Spanish's bonus package which allows you to attend a free, live, interactive monthly Webinar taught by a Spanish teacher from Colombia.If you have any questions about beginner level Drive Time Spanish, please post your questions below and I will do my best to answer your questions.

Essentially useless. The first CD was great, it left great expectations about the rest of the set. Listened to it about 10 times before moving onto the second of 8 CDs. Somehow, between when the first CD was removed from the player and when the second was inserted, I was supposed to have learned all sorts of things about conversational Spanish on my own. The narration immediately dove into a compete conversation, and then the narrators went deep into grammar, simultaneously throwing all sorts of verbs at the listener in 1st, 2nd and 3rd person instead of keeping it simple. This was intermixed with all sorts of nonsense about dipthongs, conjugated past participles and as much other idiocy as they could possibly muster to make the entire endeavor as much of a waste of time as humanly possible. By third CD when they introduced the differences in dialect between continental Spain and Castilian Spain, I had gone thumbs down on the whole package. Here I am in Southern California, trying to learn some basic Spanish before returning to school, and they are going to address regional dialects in Spain by the 3rd CD in this set? If you want to learn Spanish, look elsewhere. The people that made this program were clearly more interested in demonstrating to themselves how smart and fluent they were in Spanish than they were in actually teaching the listener anything. All so sad after such a nice start. It reminded me of the movie Cowboys & Aliens, that started out so great, but became so BAD once the aliens arrived. Unfortunately for Drive Time Spanish, the aliens arrived after only one CD.

The first disc was awesome. It gave me vocabulary and repeated it many times and I was able to grasp it. Then the other discs speak so quickly that I cannot understand them and I am getting more frustrated than anything. The last 3 discs do not spend much time teaching you as they try and shove as much content into the discs as possible so you have to repeat them over and over again just to hear it correctly.
